Welcome to the Mountain Northwest Football Youth Cheerleading Competition!
Finally, a youth football cheer competition has been established here in the Northwest to provide an opportunity
for your football cheer squads to showcase their talent and perform in front of enthusiastic cheer supporters and a professional
panel of judges. Mountain Northwest Gridiron Classic Cheerleading Competition (MNGCCC) has been designed to provide quality competition for football cheer squads
ages U7-U14. The Competition is geared for squads that have cheered for a youth football team all season and are eager to
showcase their talents in front of other quality cheer squads. This is still first & foremost a youth football cheerleading
competition. We do not believe that many of the stunts shown in televised Cheerleading events are appropriate for the ages
that are allowed to compete at the MNGCCC. The MNGCCC is intended to encourage
all squads to participate, regardless of their previous competition experience. This is why the MNGCCC has a flexible competition
format; designed so teams from many ability levels can perform in the style that they are accustomed to without having to
alter their routines to fit a rigid set of rules & requirements. Therefore, the MNGCCC has been set up to make it very
easy for all types of cheerleading squads to perform in their own style. Once you
sign-up you will be sent an Event Packet for your cheer
squad to enter the MNGCCC competition. Be sure to list each cheerleader that is planning to compete (we can always change
this list if girls add or drop up to the day of the competition). Please list each girl’s age and birth date on the
roster as of the competition date. Important Note: Mascots should be listed under the "mascot" section on the Cheer
Registration Form. This way we will not include their ages in computing your squad's average age. Important Note- There
will be a senior division consisting of 12U thru 14U. The guidelines also include a sample score sheet, which specifies exactly
what skills the judges' evaluations will be based. There will be no official Cheer Coach's meeting
at the event to go over competition details. The Mountain Northwest Gridiron Classic Cheerleading Competition.
 (MNGCCC) will now
be held each year as a major part of the Gridiron Classic Youth Football Tournament. The MNGCCC
cheer event will be held on Friday and Saturday (day after Thanksgiving). Friday will be the cheer competition and
Saturday mid-morning will be the awards ceremony event. Squads may be attending
the MNGCCC with or without a football team. All cheer squads representing Gridiron Classic football
teams are encouraged to enter the MNGCCC, but may also attend the Gridiron Classic Football Tournament to cheer for their
team.
Competition Fees “Get in Now”
To enter the competion, each cheerleading organization is required to fill out the registration form and send it along with
the registration fee in order to secure your place in the competition at the appropriate division. Mountain Northwest Football strongly recommends that Leagues and/or Organizations
submit REGISTRATION FEES as early as possible. This will secure your spot(s) in the competition. The Actual team(s) that you
will be sending can be determined at a later date. We have presented incentives for early sign-up.
Cost per Squad
$225 (if registered after 30 Sep)
$175 (if registered prior to 30 Sep) $100 (if youth Football Team registered prior to 15 Sep for the
Gridiron Classic)
FREE (if your youth Football Team is registered for both the Yakima Jamboree and Holiday
Gridiron Classic Prior to 15 Aug) The only additional cost from the cheer squad “registration fee”
is a $30 per individual participation fee. There are no fees for Cheer Coaches or members of their
staff, and the Team Rep. Cheer Squad registration fees are non-refundable.
The paperwork and due dates for cheerleader fees will be sent out to the team
representative after registration fees are received. Mountain Northwest Football understands that
each team is unique and our Tournament staff is committed to working together to meet the needs
